Still hot: WASTED YEARS • Detours 7"
It might just be a coincidence, but WASTED YEARS remind me of nerdy bands from the heydays of indie-emo in the mid-90ties – HANKSHAW, SAMUEL, maybe even BABY GOPAL – kind of a sound long gone and forgotten and seldomly reviewed by bands these days.
And I’ll gladly dive right into ex-band-name dropping here, because what a list do we have got here: This band is (among others) ex-SHORT FUSE, VADERS, FORCE OF CHANGE, PUNCH…sounds mouth-watering right?

DETOURS • 7"/Digital
After the release of "Restless" in 2023, the band truly lived up to the record's title and was on the road restlessly. Shows with LOST LOVE, AS FRIENDS RUST, ALGERNON CADWALLADER, and IN BALANCE right and left of the Atlantic Ocean brought them to the Bay Area to record these four fantastic tracks. As the title suggests, it took one or two detours to reach their goal.
Once again, the songs are a mix of '90s emo and gritty indie rock, with a bit of a rough edge. I dare saying these are their catchiest songs to date!
